This is from a series of images in black and white of the pond in winter.
The patterns of light and dark in the water and rocks become abstract, with the hint of snowflakes gently sifting down, creating small ripples in the water. There is a small slice of sharp focus surrounded by blur created in camera using a lensbaby lens, and a hint of grain, reminiscent of vintage film, which adds to the poetic feeling of the image.
