Walking along the beach in Ocean City, New Jersey, I discovered an area where charcoal colored sand was making various designs as the surf washed up onto the shore and then slowly receded. This particular pattern reminded me of the mountains at dusk where I grew up in Pennsylvania, that last glimmer of warm light as the sun finally sets.
